Long story short, they were unhappy with our funeral arrangements and would have preferred we had his funeral at their chosen funeral home. They were also upset that we chose our Pastor to speak at his services, rather than ask them to speak, seeing as they've spoken at other such events. We had our reasons. My Dad didn't enjoy their worship style. My Dad didn't go to their church. He didn't belong to their church, and he was different from them. He would have loved the service that we planned, so I have no regrets there. My only regret is... Had I have known that some people in this world would be so incredibly selfish and downright mean, I would have bent to their will. I would have done what they asked, simply to take the financial burden off of my Mom, who has been left without an income or any sort of stability.
